Hugonot Cross

The Huguenot Cross (embedded in the top left-hand corner of this page in the stained glass image), was the symbol of the French Calvinistic Protestants. The empty cross signifies the risen Lord; the eight points of the cross signify the fruit of the spirit; the circle behind the cross signifies the crown of thorns no longer worn; the four hearts signify love and the four Gospels; the dove signifies the Holy Spirit descending from His heavenly throne.
